Veteran gospel entertainer and sound engineering tutor, DJ Krowbar (born Fredrick Karumba), has shared a heartfelt message directed to fathers with daughters.
He urges them to be intentional in providing for their kids and spending quality time with them.
DJ Krowbar used himself as an example, sharing photos of exclusive father-daughter dates with his daughters to set a good precedent for the type of men and relationships they should allow in the future.
This is aimed at raising their standards and self-esteem.
Posting on his FaceBook page the gospel DJ who could be seen in one of the photos smiling broadly with his arm around his first-born daughter’s shoulder as they posed for the camera before leaving the house for their date wrote, “majority of my followers are men, 60% to be exact, on all my social media accounts… (I know this might surprise some of you, but to some of you, it won’t). I consider this a great deal and very humbling.
To my brothers, bigger and smaller, who have daughters, let’s date them, take them out on dates, buy them flowers, open and close doors for them (on date nights), really treat them,”
In another post, there was a picture of him with his other daughter enjoying an ice cream date. They both smiled from ear to ear.
Krowbar emphasised the importance of “dating” one’s child, highlighting how easy it was for girls to be swayed by material possessions.
He explained that when a girl grows up with a present dad who has shown her that he’s always available and has provided for her, the chances are minimal that she will be enticed by material things.
He also pointed out that treating daughters well ensures his son also has a better future with low chances of being with a lady who is only after wealth and can be swayed by anyone and everyone.
“So that the sons we are raising find women who are not blown away by things… So, our daughters are attracted to men of value and purpose because the truth is, I have a son, too.
We don’t lead because we are men. We are men, so we lead. Fist bump and hugs to all my brothers (both of you should dress up when going out during date nights),” the last of his post read.
