Edith Wairimu recalls getting dumped weeks before wedding

On January 13th, 2023, gospel singer Edith Wairimu was looking forward to walking down the aisle to say “I do.” 

However, her plans were thrown into disarray as the wedding was cancelled two months prior. 

The devastated singer became a recluse for ten months in her house. 

That dark moment in her life is something she spoke about to YouTuber Jeff Kuria, where Wairimu narrated how depressed she became following the cancellation.

“December 31st, 2022, I finished the year with a bang. I had a lot to be hopeful for in the following year. Little did I know.” 

She laughed about her experience, “I’m still not able to fully talk about it. It was less than two months to the wedding. My wedding was cancelled on January 13th, 2023.”

She refused to talk about the reason, “That is what led to a dark season of my life. It made me stay indoors for ten months from January until October.

She shut down

“I used to look at the wall like a TV. It did not make sense to me. I won’t tell you what happened. You have been on and off with someone for 5 years, and we started when I was 25, then he left you when you were 30”

This realization made her even more depressed.
