Eminent personalities who’ve paid tribute to Rita Tinina.

Late NTV journalist Rita Tinina was discovered dead at her Kilimani apartment on Sunday, March 17.

Rita was found unresponsive by her daughter and house manager. They got concerned when by 10 am she had not woken up. 

It is suspected to be an epileptic attack.

She was to report to duty Sunday but failed to do so, raising concern at her workplace. They could not reach her on the phone. Rita’s body was taken to Umash Funeral Home at 5 pm.

Kenyans have taken to social media to pay tribute to her, noting her work ethic and career in media.

“I have learnt with profound shock the passing on of veteran TV journalist, Rita Tinina. Rita was an accomplished journalist who not only mastered the art of storytelling but also connected with her audience with ease and authority. Her contribution to Kenya’s media industry was outstanding.

In Rita, Kenya has lost a seasoned media professional who was a role model to upcoming female journalists. My heart goes out to her family friends and the entire media fraternity. May her soul Rest in Eternal Peace.”
