The President of Comedy, Eric Omondi, has been gaining attention for his activism in the country as he tirelessly fights for the rights of the oppressed.

He has organized a celebration on Mashujaa Day to pay tribute to the ‘freedom fighters’ who died in previous demonstrations.

In a heartfelt plea, the comedian urges Kenyans to join the day’s celebration and pay tribute to the courageous heroes who lost their lives fighting for the rights of their fellow countrymen, notably during the anti-finance bill protest.

“Calling upon Kenyans from all corners of this Nation to Join us as we Celebrate our FALLEN HEROES at Uhuru Park this Sunday 20th. Every Generation has its Heroes and these are Ours. Carry a Flag and a Candle. The program Starts at 9 AM. DONT MISS.

#MashujaaWetu”  read his post.

He urges Kenyans to present themselves on 20th October Sunday from 9 am to 3 pm. The dress code should be in black. Each Kenyan should carry themselves a candle and the national flag.

“We meet up on Sunday 20th October from 9a.m in the morning to 3p.m  in the evening please come dressed in black carry a candle, and a flag and we are coming to celebrate our brothers and sisters and also to support the parents of our fallen soldiers”

The activist goes ahead and urges artists and event planners to at least show their interest in participating in the event.

“Musicians if you want to bless us come, those who are willing we sing we celebrate our brothers and if you have a sound system and even a stage just come and join in helping us only blessings come from the lord when we help others, God bless you”
