GET ACQUAINTED WITH TELKOM.

I enjoy watching movies especially during my free time, and mostly it’s on my way home. If you live in Kenya, then you know how traffic can be a big headache and cause so much boredom. I found an easy way to stay active in traffic by catching up on movies and content videos. This is by streaming using Telkom data bundles.

Ever since Telkom Kenya upgraded to a 4G network, the Kenyan  firm has tried to improve its coverage and it is available in most parts of the country. Other networks don’t work in remote areas and this is where Telkom comes in and also with their amazing data offers.

I recently came across this tweet, where someone was enquiring on how to purchase bundles and this made me recall the first time I tried to purchase Telkom bundles, I had to Google for me to get instructions on how to purchase data. Below are steps to follow when purchasing bundles.  

How to subscribe;

1. Go to the call menu on your phone.

2.*544# and press the call button.

3. It will take you to another menu, select the first option which is the data bundle category.

4. The choice validity of your internet packages.

5. Select the data packages you want, for example, if it’s daily 500MB @49/= choose option 3 (Or any other option you want to go with).

6. Complete the transaction by confirming the purchase in the subsequent prompt.

7. The last step is a confirmation message that you have subscribed to the daily 500MB.

How to unsubscribe;

1. To unsubscribe to the data bundle, dial *544#.

2. If it is daily, select the one day option.

3. Choose the exact package, for example, 500MB @49/= plus free Telkom calls.

4. This will lead you to two options which are to confirm that you are unsubscribing.

5. You will get a message that you have successfully unsubscribed to that package.

Important things to know about Telkom Kenya internet;

• The 25MB is the only one with auto-renewal.
• To remove auto-renewal, dial *544# and follow the process.
• To see your internet package balance, dial *131#
• Subscribing a new data bundle before the expiration of the existing one will accumulate it to the existing balance.
• Any unused internet package will be forfeited.

You can never go wrong when you go the Telkom way.

Telkom will always be the first option for me to use whether I’m making calls or using Google. My favourite package is the data bundle 500MB for 49/=. Get yourself a Telkom data deal.
