HOW OFTEN SHOULD YOU WASH YOUR HAIR.

“Every person’s hair is different in terms of their age, ethnic background activity level and hair type- which all determine how often to wash your hair,” says dermatologist Shilpi Khetarpal MD.
I always advocate for cleanliness anytime, any day and washing your hair has to be one of the must to do things.
Picture this, all day sweating and dust after a long day then not washing off, the dirt accumulates and then follows bad smell. Trust me you don’t want to have a stinky head.
“I have always said it’s fine to go a few days without shampooing,” says Alli Webb, a professional hair stylist and founder of Drybar.
Washing too often can in fact do more harm than good, it’s safe to say don’t wash your hair very often and also don’t stay for a long period of time without washing it.
“It’s paradoxical, but people who wash their hair a lot get rid of the oil and are drying out their scalp which should instead be producing more oil,” says Lynne Goldberg the director of Boston Medical Centre’s hair clinic.
Now a clear fact is that not washing your hair can cause hard-core dandruff, irritation, clogged pores and even hair loss (that’s right hair loss), whereas washing too frequently can lead to stripped, straw-like hair, an increase in oil production and scalp inflammation.
All you have to do is know exactly when to wash your hair and also be careful don’t pull your hair so much that it can cause hair breakage. Remember this, your hair needs good treatment just like any other important part of you, don’t not neglect your hair, eat healthy and when the washing day comes use the correct products which work for you.
Happy hair wash day and keep in mind healthy hair makes you happy!!!
