HOW TO DEAL WITH REJECTION

NO Is a simple word but can make someone’s feelings get really hurt. Imagine asking a girl/boy out for a date and they say no, this can make a person really heartbroken, rejection can make a person feel negative about themselves one may start to feel as if they are not good enough and it may cause emotional pain which may even result to physical pain to a person.

But guess what I got you !! the next time you feel bad about getting rejected just follow these few tips and tricks and I bet you’ll feel better.

  • The first step after getting rejected is to accept.

You should allow yourself to feel the emotions that will come your way. You are allowed to feel your loss and even cry.

  • Take some time off.

Taking some time off is necessary this may help you not say anything hurtful to the other person that may make you regret it later.

  • Find someone to talk to.

Supportive friends are really important to one’s life. Talk to a caring friend and someone who accepts you and will help you feel better.

  • Talk to a professional.

You may not have supportive friends and in that case, I’d advise you to seek help because Rejection might really affect a person and it can also be really hard because you may get really hurt. You can talk to a counsellor or a therapist this may make you feel so much better and it is totally fine to seek this kind of help.

  • Take care of yourself.

Take yourself out on dates watch your favorite movie etc. Treat yourself right and have some fun you can have one of your favourite snacks like ice cream, some chocolate it could be anything as you release the stress and steam off. Going on walks and also meditating and having some time alone may really help you to feel better.

  • Rise up.

Allow yourself to rise and build your self-esteem.

Always remember that you are not a failure and that you have things in life that you have accomplished and you have to keep going because there is more to life. Just take a few deep breaths every time you feel tired and keep moving.

 

  • FINALLY, I’D ADVICE YOU TO KEEP TAKING THE RISKS!

Don’t be scared of rejection; apply for that job that you want, take a risk on love, take that leap of faith and keep shooting your shot. Always remember that you only live once and that it is always better to try and get that no than to not try and keep wishing that maybe you should have tried.
