Jason Derulo look-alike Remcy, calls out fellow look-alikes.

In Kenya, there is currently a trend of celebrity look-alikes. Some of the look-alikes include ones resembling Jason Derulo, Cardi B, Nicki Minaj, Diamond Platnumz, Ruger, Vybz Kartel, and Burna Boy, among others. 

Remcy Don, who presents himself as a Jason Derulo look-alike, has advised other celebrity look-alikes to be more serious and authentic in their representations of the real celebrities.

“Its important to approach the idea of being a celebrity look alike with authenticity and respect. If you’re going to claim to resemble someone famous, ensure you have some tangible qualities or achievements that align with their status,” he said

He added that it’s not just about appearance but embodying some aspect of the celebrity’s success or lifestyle.

“Claiming to look like someone while lacking any substantial achievements or means only diminishes the credibility of your claim and can make us all seem like a joke. Lets aim for genuine representation and respect for the celebrities we admire.”

He said this days after Jalang’o’s look-alike called out the MP for not helping him. He claimed that Jalang’o gave him only 1k and promised to assist him. 

Jalang’o responded by saying that the look-alike should emulate his hard work and determination instead of relying on others for help.

“Mnajua nacheka nini? Hii ni maajabu. yaani mkifanana sasa ukuwe responsibility yangu. Ungekua unafananan na mimi pia kwa kujituma na kutafuta haungefanya hii interview. So ukiulizwa what do you do for aliving, ooh nafanana na Jalas!”
