Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu is in a dispute with Kenya Airways (KQ) officials after her recent trip to Mombasa.
She posted a photo on social media sitting next to former Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho on a commercial flight.
In the caption, she criticized Kenya Airways for allegedly discontinuing their meal services without properly informing their customers.
She expressed her disappointment and questioned if Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua had experienced the same when he flew from Nairobi to Mombasa.
“So on flight KQ to Mombasa this afternoon we were told service airborne is no more due to safety concerns,” started off Karen Nyamu. She went on to quip, “Nauliza jana Riggy G pia alienda hivi hivi tu?”
Finishing up, the frustrated nominated senator wondered about the new directive. She questioned why Kenya Airways had suddenly decided that meals on board were an issue, especially after all this time in operation. ( excluding the corona period).
“After all those years now is when someone remembered that serving snacks iko na safety issue?” The last of her post read.
However, reacting to the post Kenyans did everything else minus sympathising with Karenzo and her hunger pangs. Some accused her of being privileged while others highlighted they felt she just wanted them to see her chilling with 001.
Nicky Mureithi: Hii paragraph yote sema tu ulikuwa unataka tuone uko kwa ndege na Joho
Bella: Rich people problems. What will happen if you don’t take snacks for the 45 mins on board?
Edwin Chepkindet: Mandazi tu ndio inafanya upige kelele hivi?
Captain Dominic: If your leaders think of snacks on planes you are doomed.
