Messages from celebrities during the Shujaaz Memorial Fest.

The revolutionary Gen Z movement spread rapidly, with young people using smartphones and data bundles to coordinate and mobilize the masses. 

This led to the organization of a concert at Uhuru Park in Nairobi to honour the fallen heroes, drawing a large crowd. 

Several celebrities in attendance were impressed by the unity among Kenyan youths and had messages to convey.

Among them were Busia Senator Okia Omutata, Khaligraph Jones, Octopizoo, Nameless, Fena Gitu. Larry Madowo, Vijana Barubaru, Edith Kimani, Nick Bigfish, Babushka among others.

The renowned musician who performed at the concert clarified his decision to attend the memorial as he said that it was his duty to show up because he was on the pedestal because of the people.

The artist went on to say that change is the only way where we can honour our fallen soldiers and stated that it is not only changing in the government but also in terms of discipline and integrity.

The song, ‘Tujiangalie‘ captured a lot of emotions from many Kenyans as the song reflected on the current issue of politicians becoming greedy and extremely corrupt.

Boniface Mwangi

Activist Boniface Mwangi, who has been on the line of activism for more than a decade, was the mastermind of the ShuGenZ concert organization which saw thousands of Kenyans attend.

The activist claimed that when he organized the concert he was receiving requests from various artists who wanted to perform for free was a lot to the point of a first come, first serve basis.

“Tumeskika, I think the government is listening,” Boniface revealed as he continued to say that the government needs to be reduced as many leaders do not know their dockets and also reduce of salaries.

Muthoni Drummer Queen 

The socialite in all her glory decided to make her appearance visible by urging Kenyans not to give up on the fight.

According to her, we ( Kenyans) must continue fighting for our rights cause soon enough victory will be ours.

“We must maintain pressure ! We are in the movement to make positive change and the constitution is on our side.”
