Former Public Service CS Moses Kuria has described a job offer as a mortuary attendant, given to him after his dismissal, as harsh.

The offer came from an unknown person.

Speaking on Citizen TV, Kuria said that he has been receiving harsh messages from a section of Kenyans since he was dismissed from the Cabinet.

The former CS said he is human and such messages get to him. He went on to say that it is not easy being on his side.

“Somebody sent me a message on my phone offering me a job ati ‘hey niaje mzito, kuna job hapa kwa mortuary, unaonaje? Utaichukua?’ It’s harsh, it’s terrible,” the former CS said.

Having done the work I have done for this country within a short period, and I agree with the need for change and having a clear mind, of course, I am human. It is not easy and I sympathize with them.”

He talked of a reputable media house, which he did not mention, that has made it a routine to troll him every day.

“There’s a particular media house which has dedicated 10 minutes of their time every morning to trolling me. It is not easy.”

The former CS discussed the events that have taken place since he left the Cabinet, as well as his plans for the future.

Kuria mentioned that he wants to live a more private life now that he is not in public service.

He also stated that he will continue to work on his book, which he started in January of this year.

He also mentioned that he had received offers to give lectures at international events and he will be doing that as well.

“I am doing my private things, I am writing my book. I started writing my book in January. I have had a lot of invitations even before to speak at international forums and events about global issues. I am not short of things to do.”
