My hubby had warned me he would marry a second wife- Njeri Muigai.

In a recent interview with a local radio station, Muigai wa Njoroge’s first wife Njeri opened up about what her husband taking a second wife did to her.

The mother of four informed that when she found out her husband was opting to marry a second wife she went crazy and mad such that Muigai couldn’t handle her anger and he left their home, Mwihoko, leaving her behind and the kids, then moved in with the second wife. 

“When I found out that he had married another woman I went crazy. I went so crazy and so mad. he was not able to handle my anger he left me and the kids in Mwihoko and went to live with that woman.”” 

While speaking, she remarked that if people see her reaction not as bitter right now it is because she’s already had 12 years to deal with the bitterness.

“Now people want me to behave the right way, but they don’t know I already reacted to this matter,” the singer remarked. 

The musician also divulged that her life took a turn for worse after the news and she resulted in picking fights a lot before she turned to alcohol consumption for almost two years as she fought depression.

“I was always in the pub in the morning It was very painful. I went through hell and people did not know what I was going through.”

Njeri also revealed that at one point she even thought of suicide but says it’s by the grace of god she didn’t.

The first wife further disclosed that it took over five years to get over the hurt, and expressed that she regrets how she handled the hurt.

But also advised people to let themselves feel the pain and not hold it as it is the start of healing.
