Nairobi Women’s Hospital College speaks on student who threatened Busia nurses.

The Nairobi Women’s Hospital College (NWHC) has said it will take action against its student who allegedly threatened nurses in Busia. 

In a statement, the management of the college has acknowledged that the viral woman is their student and is enrolled in the Theatre and Technology Program.

The student is awaiting graduation.

In response to the viral incident, the college said it has initiated an internal investigation to gather relevant information.

“We strongly condemn the regrettable actions displayed by the woman. These actions do not align with the values and standards we uphold at NWHC,” Part of the statement read.

“We will institute appropriate measures in line with our institution’s policies and procedures.”

NWHC further apologised to the affected hospital and its staff. 

“We greatly value the partnership we have cultivated.”

The undated video went viral on social media for the better part of Wednesday and Thursday

The video captured an agitated woman censuring hospital staff, hurling insults and tossing hospital files from the nurse’s desk.

At one point, she even attempted to confront the nurse, throwing jabs and issuing threats at her.

The woman is later captured on camera threatening to call someone prominent in the government over the matter.

“Harakisha ukuje hapa saa hii (Hurry up and come here right now),” she was heard saying on the phone.

Reports suggest that the two individuals had brought a patient to the facility and demanded immediate attention, ahead of other patients waiting for treatment.
