Okello Max reveals the moment he got dumped.

Prolific singer and songwriter Okello Max has revealed when he realized that his relationship had come to an end and things were beyond salvaging. 

The ‘Kung Fu’ hitmaker, while reflecting on the past, explained that changes in his then-partner’s behaviour made him realize that he was being sidelined, and he had to give up on the relationship. 

Okello shared this during his participation in the viral social media trend, ‘I knew they didn’t like me when…’.

“I knew she did not like me when she started replying to my texts with one-word replies,” candidly revealed the artist in an interview with Pulse.

He added that the one-worded replies were a huge red flag as before the couple used to communicate at length with paragraph after paragraph and never-ending stories. And that is what led him to the realisation it was time to bid adieu to his lover.

“Reason why I knew that is because earlier, we used to write to each other paragraphs but now (towards the change) if you looked at our chat history you could see the green side (my side of the texts) are more than these other ones za white (which is her side of the texts,” the ‘Nakufa’ hitmaker said as he chuckled, laughing at the character development class he was involuntary taken through.

Okello Max went on to add, “unapiga kelele tu mingi hapo pekee yako. Sometimes unaambiwa tu K ata si okay, like anaandika tu the letter K pekee yake. Hapo nikajua aahh, kijana jiite mkutano na ujiheshimu hmm,”

This translates to, “I’d just be there making noise alone and during such times I would get one letter texts. She did not even reply to the messages with okay, she would just write the letter K only. With that I decided to call myself to a small meeting and process all that is going on with his love life.

I told myself, young man respect yourself,”

Luckily, the universe dealt the 34-year-old artist better cards and he found love. Okello is happily wedded and blessed with 2 daughters.
