Peter Salasya has declared himself as the hardest-working MP in Kenya.

On Thursday, May 16, he announced to Kenyans that he had earned the title.

Many have been saying he focuses on partying and social media content creation. He harshly told netizens they were distracted from his real life.

“What matters now for me is not my signature hair nor this funny hair on my head like ya paka but my deliverance to Mumias East constituency people. And I am the number 1 MP  in performance and delivery in Kenya ask my people of Mumias East they will affirm this ata nikikojoa katikati ya barabara is none of their business…..I love you this epitome beautiful night”

The Mumias East MP told KTN Home that he cares and prioritises his constituents before himself.

“I always look at myself that age is still on my side, so if I can be able to take care of other people I can have peace of mind. The richest person is a peaceful person. What makes me happy the moment I go back home is I look at it, I have paid the fees of the constituency, I ask myself if every child is going to school, and the constituency I am empowering them,”

According to the legislature, he prefers to spend his time in his constituency, dedicating his time to fulfilling his election pledges.

“When it comes to politics, the first two years are very critical for a leader. That is the time that people will get to know who you are. They will get to know your true colours. 

So if you don’t demonstrate that you can work when you start working in the third year, people will look at you as a person who wants to take advantage of them. You have been eating their money, but now you have come again back to them. So that you can be re-elected. “

He highlighted how busy he has been implementing projects.

“The modern toilets we have been doing, I have made sure that toilets are the priority for all 30 schools, I’m only remaining with about 24 schools” he added which will be complete in the next financial year.

He has also been renovating old schools, like roofing, projects for nursing schools, buses, and bursaries for the needy.

“I’ve been outside the leadership, I’ve been staying with the people, and you will always listen to the people. I am from the ground, I’m the only first leader who was elected by not some few people sitting in Nairobi. I was just out of my own ways, my own hard work and focus.” he said
