Pierra Makena updates fans on the reason for her swollen face.

DJ Pierra Makena’s swollen face was cause for concern when she shared a video of her face this past weekend.

Makena did not mention what was going on, however Kenyans were understanding enough and wished her a quick recovery.

In an update following curious private messages, the loved mix master has updated that she had a bad allergic reaction, that prompted her to rush to seek medical attention.

“First guys thank you so much for your well wishes. All is under control and I’m now home.. never a dull one when my baby is next to me…honestly hata sina nguvu ya ku argue. Is it black chokora? 😳 🙄🙄 someone needs to tell her for me..nimeisha nguvu,” she penned.

She further showed the public the progress of her face after she was able to seek medical intervention.

“Thanks for the concern too…I had a burst of bad allergy reaction we are yet to know what exactly happened.. plus fatigue 😩 😪 so it got me down. No, I was not beaten nor was I in a car accident. All is under control thanks to the docs and nurses who quickly attended to me at the ER. I’m recovering from home with forced/deserved rest.. have a blessed week fam”

Being the sweet person she is she appreciated all those who checked up on her.

The first revelation that all was not well was after a worrying clip with needles on her right hand showing she was using drip on Sunday, January 14.

Her right side eye was swollen making her appear almost unrecognizable. In a caption she wrote;

“What a weekend… and we were warned. But I’ll be ok….”
