Pro Series Gaming Championship Beckons: What Ensued, What’s Underway
Written by kingbeestar on April 22, 2020
The Pro Series Gaming Championship competition beckoned Friday! 64 gamers registered for the FFF league pool.
Day One
32 excited gamers went in ready to flaunt their mojo. Matches were tough and some gamers even forfeited their games. Connectivity was gravely interrupted owing to the rains and the games went up to well past midnight.
Day Two
Drama ensued.
Games started at 4pm although some gamers were working until curfew time. Seeing as they had communicated before hand, we worked around their schedule.
The games were running smoothly until one gamer noticed that something was not right with his opponent. As per the PSG policies, two gamers were disqualified after we realised that there was collusion. The games ended at midnight.
What Next?
These Top 16 players from pool 1 will now play for ranking. This means that each player has to play against every other player. This is known as the round robin mechanic. This way we can put the players on a leader board and know who are the strong players and match them up with other strong players and vice versa. All this action goes down Friday and Saturday. See you there!
