Rev Lucy explains why long-distance marriages are better.

Rev. Lucy Natasha, the Senior Minister at ECC Nairobi, spent years as a travelling preacher across various parts of the world while still single before meeting her prince charming.

Now in a long-distance marriage, she recently reflected on her journey during Dr. Ofweneke’s segment, “Lessons at 30.” 

She shared that the success of their relationship hinges on their mutual commitment and dedication to making it work despite the distance.

“I think long-distance marriages can work if both partners are able to communicate effectively. My husband lives in Canada, while I live in Kenya. But we are always going back and forth, meeting each other,” she explained.

When asked how often they see each other in a month, she responded, “It’s not really about the number of times. There isn’t a set calendar, especially since we’re only in our third year of marriage,” said the Oracle of God.

The couple is still deciding which country to settle in, as her husband is from South India and currently resides in Canada.

As for children, motherhood remains a goal she is eager to achieve. “I am really looking forward to it. Children are a heritage from the Lord. I’ve been a spiritual mother even before I began my ministry in Nairobi, and it has given me the opportunity to raise so many children spiritually. But I also have a deep desire in my heart to be a biological mother to a few children.”

She added, “Having children is a gift from the Lord. So, we are waiting for His timing. We believe it will happen—maybe two or three.”
