Samidoh- “A man who loves you will always lie.”

Mugithi artist Samidoh has recently stirred controversy with his statements on love and fidelity, sparking a heated debate on social media. 

The musician, who has been a prominent figure in the Kenyan entertainment scene, made waves when he shared a post that seemed to defend men who cheat on the women they love.

In his statement, Samidoh suggested that it is normal for a man to be deceitful in a relationship, claiming that men lie to protect the feelings of the women they care about. 

“A man who loves you will always lie to you because he cares about your feelings. He would rather lie to you than hurt your feelings,” Samidoh wrote, sparking outrage and disappointment among many of his followers.

Samidoh’s comments come as no surprise to those who have followed his tumultuous romantic life, which has been the subject of public scrutiny for years. 

The father of five first made headlines in 2021 when he publicly apologized to his wife, Edday Nderitu, for having an extramarital affair with politician Karen Nyamu, which resulted in the birth of a child. His admission shocked many fans, who saw him as a devoted family man.

However, the drama did not end there. Despite his apology, Samidoh later rekindled his relationship with Nyamu, and the pair welcomed a second child together, further straining his marriage to Edday. 

The situation escalated to the point where Edday, unable to tolerate the ongoing infidelity, announced her decision to leave their 15-year marriage. 

She relocated to the United States with their three children, stating that she was not willing to raise her sons in a polygamous household.

Samidoh’s latest remarks have only fueled the ongoing debate about his views on love and loyalty, leaving many to question the values he espouses both as an artist and a public figure.
