Mugithi singer Samuel Muchoki, popularly known as Samidoh, has shared a saddening encounter from his childhood that he carries with him to date.

The 33-year-old entertainer, who is known for courting controversy, recently shared some personal information.

He revealed this while responding to a TikTok video that had caught his attention on his “For You” page.

The TikTok video in question asked people to share hurtful words or experiences that have left a lasting impact on them, but which they have never spoken about before.

“What statement killed you but you pretended you were okay,” the post read. In the comment section, a user shared an intense story involving a relative which broke them.

The comment prompted the father of 5 to share his own heartbreaking story through a lengthy Instagram post.

Samidoh recalled how back when he was in high school a relative (whom he refrained from disclosing further details about) denied him money to attend a school trip noting that the singer was an orphan and should stick to his means.

Adding that said relative said recreational things such as the trip were not for people like him.

“I once pleaded with ‘someone’ to offer me Sh. 200 for a school trip to Nakuru Crater and she was like, Sami unafaa ujue wewe ni yatima hufai kujiwekelea maisha ya juu, (You are an orphan and it may be difficult to afford an extravagant lifestyle.)

Things not even a man with a big heart will never heal from. Some relatives/parents/guardians can kill you alive!” his post read.
