Sarah Kabu’s open challenge to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has sparked intense reactions online.

In her Instagram post, she demanded action on her Gender-Based Violence (GBV) complaint, expressing frustration over perceived delays.

“Someone tell DCI I am waiting for full investigation on my Gender-Based Violence complaints because now it’s being handled online with paid campaigns. I want justice,” Sarah alleged.

The post drew a mix of support, advice, and criticism from her followers:

  • “Take a break from social media. It helps to process and heal in a healthy way,” advised @koisoph.
  • “This is the only marriage that gave me hope. Ladies, I now believe in money,” lamented @ythira_gachie.
  • @caro_tiff_aust urged, “Mama Bear, why don’t you take a week off? You are convincing the wrong people that you are okay. Switch off and rest.”
  • Others, like @empowerladys, encouraged her resilience, saying, “A strong woman faces challenges with courage, inspiring others with her determination. That’s what I see in Sarah.”

Despite the varied responses, a considerable number of fans stood by Sarah:

  • “Someone wants to bring you down… don’t give them that satisfaction,” wrote @turfcare_ea.
  • “Fight mama, fight on… Respect is paramount,” said @carol..g.

The Backstory

Sarah’s challenge to the DCI comes on the heels of a viral video that surfaced, capturing a heated confrontation involving her, her ex-husband Simon Kabu, and a young woman at their former home.

In the footage, Sarah appeared to forcibly eject the woman from the house while Simon attempted to mediate the situation.

This sparked widespread speculation online, with many claiming the woman was a house help.

To counter these claims, Sarah introduced her long-serving house helps, Caroline Atieno and Lillian Aoko, who have worked for her for eight and ten years, respectively.

She also accused someone with access to the house’s CCTV system of leaking the footage, raising further questions about the incident.

Meanwhile, Simon Kabu posted a cryptic message filled with heart emojis, leaving fans to wonder whether he was subtly supporting Sarah or addressing the controversy in his own way.

Later, Sarah revealed that she had moved out of their joint matrimonial home, telling her maids that she had left “Misri.

In a video shared online, Sarah showcased her new house in a posh neighbourhood of Nairobi, believed to still be in Runda.

She disclosed that her relationship with Simon had been strained, which prompted her move.
