Shorts, Shorts and Shots bring Nairobi to a standstill.

The Shorts, Shorts and Shots event went down on the 27th of October and it was nothing but a magical experience for all those who attended the film event.
In partnership with NBO Film Fest and Studio 18, the night brought African stories that mix sci-fi, fantasy, and fresh ideas to the screen.
Viewers were able to witness African traditions like never before. Just like the theme said people were donned in their Sunday best Afrofuturism theme outfits.
It was a mixture of colours and sunshine as fans took to the photobooths to showcase their various designs.
DJ K1 (Makmende) proved that he didn’t come to play. Attendees were able to dance their way, and others even proved to be kings and queens of the dance floor.
Other than just music and fashion, attendees were able to enjoy short films.
We all know an event isn’t an event if we can’t find the food and game booths and SSS took it seriously and ensured that the event was filled with various games and vendors.
Just like their name suggested, yes they had more than enough shots to keep people bubbly and enthusiastic to watch all the short films that were in store for them.
Below are some photos of what went down at the event.
What is Shorts, Shorts and Shots?
Shorts, Shorts and Shots (SSS) is a vibrant film event that was established in 2018 as a signature showcase of Film Box, under the auspices of Docubox. This event is designed to provide a platform for new and authentic short films.
As the name suggests, they screen award-winning short films from across Africa, invite attendees to wear shorts, and offer a delightful mix of alcoholic and non-alcoholic shots.
SSS aims to bring together local filmmakers and audiences in a lively social atmosphere to celebrate African cinema.
For the last six years, SSS has had fantastic editions, such as the Valentine’s Edition, Mzalendo Edition, and Halloween Edition.
