In the backdrop of all the excitement surrounding The Lion King,Beyonce has dropped the video for one of the soundtracks on the Disney live-action remake dubbed ‘Spirit’ off of the The Lion King:The Gift album, that is executive produced by Beyonce. Starting off in Swahili,Beyonce’s flawless vocal delivery will leave you yearning for more. But that is a mere tip of the iceberg.
The video, filmed at Hawasu Falls in The Grand Canyon is as iconic and arresting as they come;what with the 12 outfit changes by Beyonce and all the colorful regalia donned by the accompanying dancers. The desert setting gives the video even more life and Blue Ivy’s cameo does it much justice. Suffice to say that Blue keeps upstaging her two siblings. Culture and couture take centrestage with Afrocentric themes and scenes that speak highly of the beauty of the African continent.
The clips from the movie are artistically incorporated with the beautiful shots showing picturesque waterfalls, waterbodies and landscape. The Lion King:The Gift album drops tomorrow, and so does the movie.
