All celebrities have love scandals but clearly, they haven’t reached Will Smith and Jada Pinket’s love drama.
In an interview with the Daily Mail’s YOU Magazine, the 52-year-old actress explained that Will’s decision to slap Chris Rock during the 2022 Academy Award has earned a new title.
She now calls the slap The “Holy slap”.
To most romantic people a man’s act of kindness wins the lady’s heart but to Jada, it was a slap to protect her dignity that made her fall in love again with Will Smith.
What came as a surprise is that he had no intention of attending the Oscar Awards in 2022 but was glad that she attended the event.
She told Daily Mail that the slap opened her eyes and she realised that Will Smith was the right man for her.
“I nearly didn’t even attend the Oscars that year, but I’m glad I did. That moment of the s— hitting the fan is when you see where you really are.
“After all those years trying to figure out if I would leave Will’s side, it took that slap for me to see I will never leave him.”
She added by saying, she didn’t know the state of their relationship if the slap had not happened.
“Who knows where our relationship would be if that hadn’t happened?”
Earlier in October Jada shocked social media with her juicy revelations about their supposedly fall-off marriage.
Out of all the revelations, the one that shocked netizens is the revelation that she and Will Smith had separated back in 2016.
In the interview, she expressed her concerns about Will Smith’s statements when he told Chris Rock to keep her name out of his mouth.
According to her, the two were just house buddies and not husband and wife.
It was a great relief to fans after Jada said she wouldn’t leave Smith and their marriage is now working.
