Tanzanian singer TID is in Kenya amid a lot of excitement for his audios that are going viral on TikTok.

The Bongo singer addressed journalists and bloggers at Quiver Lounge where he spoke on a multitude of issues.

The Bongo flavour musician will be in Kenya for two weeks.

When he was asked what his plans for his musical fans were, he cheekily described it as looking for a girlfriend he would sing sweet songs for them.

“Ni kama venye unatafuta girlfriend unaanza na maneno matamu tamu, hata ukimpiga makofi baadaye it’s very well,”

He went on and issued a stern warning to Arbantone artists not to use his music for remixes.

“Aisee nitakufunga polisi usifanye hiyo kitu. Ukishika wimbo wangu, ukipeleka unafanya hiyo arbantone yako, without my permission you are in trouble my young brothers, and I will hate you for the rest of my life,” he cautioned.

He arrived in Kenya without his bandmate Q Chief,

“Q Chief is not my girlfriend. He is not my wife niende na ye kila sehemu, we only do business, now we are recording an album sasa hivi. Kundi lipo. Tuko na kazi nyingi.”

The Watasema Sana hitmaker is looking into working with many Kenyan musicians and met Sanaipei Tande, Eric Omondi among others.

They are in talks for this for music, acting, and comedy as well. TID also weighed in on the topical issue of no East African artiste being on an international level

“You know now anybody can say anything. Anybody can comment to anybody and say whatever it is. You can’t stop that.

Then somebody say, then somebody will try to answer that, it becomes a topic and then it trends. But the fact stands there kwamba we used to have international artistes, hadi leo wako.

They are performing all over the world. I meet Khaligraph Jones performing. What’s that? That’s International artiste. He is moving to another country and that’s international artiste, what kind of international artiste do you want?” he queried.
