Fast-rising Arbantone artist Tipsy Gee has revealed over the last 6 months he has made about Sh. 5 million from the entertainment industry.

“You know our music took over the airwaves back in October last year… and in that year till now I don’t think there is any occupation that someone is doing out there that can give them the amount of money I have earned ever since we hit the spotlight,” the ‘Finish Kumalo hitmaker candidly said during a recent sit down he had with YouTuber Commentator 254.

The young musician praised his music, noting that he had become a millionaire due to his craft.

When asked about how much money he had made since his breakthrough, Tipsy said it was difficult to estimate, but he knew he was making good money and wasn’t concerned about his spending.

“I know I have pocketed a couple of millions. You know I rate my money in comparison with my expenditure I can’t really estimate but I think I’ve probably made somewhere from 5 million going upwards. And that amount is just for 6 months,” the artist shyly revealed adding he did not really want to discuss his finances online as he knows how some netizens can be.

To address any scepticism about his success, Tipsy Gee provided a list of the shows he has covered and the earnings he has made from them.

According to the ‘Taki Nakati’ singer, he has been on approximately 18 high school tours, made several club appearances, performed at concerts, and earned from YouTube as well.

“Let’s do a slight calculation… I have been to 18 schools, per tour approximately I charge Sh. 150k, that’s the average charge because there are some schools that I charge higher,” Tipsy told the segment host.

According to the commentator, who had to use a calculator to confirm the artist’s numbers, the total amount adds up to Sh.2.7 million, and that’s only for the past 3 months.

When wrapping up the interview, the Arbantone artist disclosed that he doesn’t have a set rate card for shows and club appearances.

He mentioned that he always provides quotations based on the particular club, its location, and the size of his fanbase in that area.

He also mentioned that he’s consistently booked every weekend, starting from Friday evenings, and emphasized that the music industry is rewarding if you know how to navigate it effectively.
