Trouble in paradise as YY and Marya split up.

Content creator Marya Okoth and Comedian YY have allegedly split.

The couple shared an announcement on their social media in a statement that has sent shockwaves online.

“Hello and good morning. We are saddened to let you know that Marya Okoth and YY Comedian will no longer be together due to unavoidable circumstances. Thank you for your love and support through our union. We expect individual privacy from each one of you. Thanks” ended the message.

The last post that Marya shared together with YY was six days ago as they advertised a furniture shop.

Marya is currently in Meru where she shared clips of her day plus music from Jua Cali “Kwaheri’.

In June, Marya revealed an interesting detail about her relationship with comedian YY, stating that she moved in with him immediately after their first date.

During a guest appearance on the Mic Cheque Podcast alongside YY, Marya shared the humorous and surprising story of how their relationship escalated quickly. 

The Nurse Toto actress jokingly mentioned that she felt somewhat “tricked” by how fast things moved, as she found it hard to believe that she had moved in with him so soon after they began dating.

“I was tricked immediately after the date,” started off the mother of one. She went on to add, “It was sort of an hour after we first met… We spent about an hour together, and then I went to his place. And, the baby came along gradually,”

They have a daughter together named Circe Gaona.
