Worry over Salah’s performance arise following Europa League elimination.

Liverpool faced a difficult task in the Europa League against Atalanta, as they trailed 3-0 at Anfield.
Although Mohamed Salah scored an early goal to give them some hope, the team struggled to extend their lead.
Despite having control over the match, Liverpool couldn’t capitalize on their opportunities, and Atalanta’s defense held them off. .
Atalanta secured their place in the semi-finals with a 1-0 defeat, and Liverpool’s chances of progressing were dashed.
Liverpool will need to improve their performance in their upcoming match against Fulham, as they need to rediscover their form.
However, with only a few games remaining before the summer break, they have little time to build momentum.
The focus is now on the final six matches of the Premier League season, as Liverpool looks to end the season on a high note.
One thing we learned
During the second half of the game, Liverpool’s early promise, created by Salah’s penalty, quickly faded away.
This may be an indication of what is to come for the rest of the season.
Liverpool’s performance levels will need to increase quickly if they want to succeed. Although Liverpool performed better in this game than they did against Atalanta at Anfield and Crystal Palace, the bar was set low.
With three upcoming away trips (Fulham, Everton, and West Ham), we are about to see whether the Klopp era will end with a bang or a whimper.
Biggest takeaway
Since coming unstuck against Manchester United, the Liverpool attack has simply not functioned as it should have.
Mohamed Salah scored his penalty in Bergamo but the last goal that the Reds scored from open play was now against Sheffield United five games ago.
The Reds’ number 11, in particular, being out of form is a worry; it has simply never happened for this long before.
Klopp insisted post-match that he was unconcerned by Salah’s form but he could hardly say anything else.
The obvious concern is the collective nature of the attacking struggles rather than any individual.
Cody Gakpo looked sharp again here but Luis Díaz and Darwin Núñez were relatively ineffective.
There was a lack of cutting edge from an attack that should be scoring goals left, right and centre. It is unexplainable. The quality is there in theory, but not in practice.
A moment you might have missed
We may be bending the meaning of this category, but it’s worth noting how many missed chances Liverpool had in their recent games.
Specifically, the ones where their players were one-versus-one with the opposing team’s goalkeeper.
Curtis Jones and Diogo Jota missed opportunities against Crystal Palace, and Salah missed a chance in the game before that.
Regardless of who the chance falls to, the team seems to be struggling to convert them, which is a major issue. This is a problem that doesn’t have an easy solution.
Building form and confidence takes time, which is something Klopp does not have a lot of, with only six games remaining.
If Liverpool is going to beat Fulham on Sunday, they will need to be more clinical and take advantage of the opportunities they create.
However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to say whether they will be able to do so. The attackers have been underperforming, and they are the ones to blame for the lack of results lately.
But with a sudden and swift upturn, they could just as easily become the heroes in the final run-in.
