Sports Watch: Arsenal Still Top With Manchester City Closing In
Written by Ciryan Achola on October 14, 2022
Apart from the ‘Hustler Nation’, the other very happy group of people is Arsenal loyals. Their joy is substantiated by the incredible start to the campaign they’ve had.
As Game Week 11 starts with Brentford facing Brighton & Hove Albion tonight at 10 PM, The Gunners are still very much League leaders with 24 points having won 8 out of the 9 matches they’ve played. Arteta and his squad will on Sunday travel to Elland Road to play Leeds United and I am positive Arsenal will win this. Unless of course they don’t.
Manchester City is catching the Gunners as they’re only a point short of taking over the number 1 spot. With 33 goals scored so far, Pep’s side is the only team yet to be defeated in the league.
Liverpool still sits 10th having registered only 2 wins. The 2018–19 UEFA Champions League winners are in unfamiliar territory since the same time last season, they were way up the table in 4th place. Wednesday’s 7-1 win over Rangers in the Champions League is a huge boost to the team’s morale as they prepare to play Manchester City on Sunday at 6.30 PM.
