“I might have lost my way…” -DJ Bash.

Media personality and DJ Simon Koikai, known as DJ Bash, has written an emotional letter to his younger self while reflecting on the challenges he has faced in life. 

In his letter, Bash acknowledges that he lost his way at some point and no longer recognises the person he has become. 

He expresses admiration for his younger self, noting that he did his best during his youth. 

Additionally, DJ Bash informs his younger self about the loss of his father, who has passed away.

Letter to my younger self

“Dear Kababa/Kabash/Bash/Simo/Koikai,

I know I lost the way somewhere along the way and you can’t even recognize the person I have become today: don’t worry, I’m working towards getting back to my true self. This reminds me. You did a good job during your youth. Set the right foundation and character.

I might have lost my way but the character you built then was solid. So thanks for that. Restarting with just that is enough. I got this 💪🏽

Bash added by saying his dad passed but he ensured that he raised warriors who were going to make it in life.

Oh by the way… side note, sadly Dad is no more. I know it’s not easy to bear that but he did his best and raised soldiers who stick together through thick and thin. So we got this.

Family is gonna be okay ❤️ Mum, Jesse, Prince, Sanky, Anthony, Jerusha, we going to be alright. Don’t stress. Plus dad is watching over us and God is in control.

The 36-year-old DJ finished his lengthy post by adding that he was a father and that he would raise his son Neo right. 

On the bright side, you are also a dad now to an amazing beautiful baby boy, NEO. Already 6 years old. You still blessed in unbelievable ways.

Can’t promise much but one is for sure, I’m gonna get it right by raising him the right way, even if its just passing to him what dad passes to us through life. 

Even if its the only thing I will get right in my lifetime. It’s not perfect considering the standards you set for yourself while young but we are going to figure it out together.
