RISE IN STABBING CASES IN NAIROBI

A recent facebook post by a doctor at the Kenyatta Hospital, Dr. Lilian Munyua, caused the internet a storm as she shared how sad she was feeling due to the rising cases of stabbings they have been receiving of late.

In the post she shared, they have been receiving an average of 4-7 cases of stabbing daily from mugging around the city. “ I have helplessly watched young and old, men and women, breathe their last while trying to save them. Some are in the ICU while others have survived but with life long injuries.” Dr. Munyua wrote.

 She also wrote that most of the stabbings are happening around the KCA Underpass and Total exit, Drive-in flyover up to KCA, Globe roundabout and Kipande road, ABC place and Kangemi along Waiyaki Way, Naivas Allsops along Thika Super Highway, the CBD (Archives), River road and Fig Tree area and KBC offices among other places.

“Please note these killer thugs are stealing in broad daylight. If you resist they will stab or shoot you without a second thought.”she wrote. She insisted we share this information with our close friends and family and advise them not to avoid walking alone or getting late in those places.

If you are carrying a laptop in a backpack , you do remain a target so be sure to lose it or lose your life in these places. 

This information comes at a time when the December holidays are approaching and the thugs are getting bolder day by day as the government is also ignorant to act on the matter.
