NRG Turn Up Nairobi Brings Umoja To A Standstill

Written by on April 23, 2019

Whether it was the spacious parking lot and crowd area,or the many food outlets and scenic views of drinks..there was just something in the air that was clear indication that true to our moniker, the turn up was about to leave the entire neighborhood at a standstill. Enter the well curated mixes from our resident DJs renting the air in seamless succession. There would not be a better way to herald the performances of the night than with those. The albeit loud reception from the rapidly growing crowd and the enthusiastic dancing were proof.

The performances are always one of the biggest highlights of the night and the anticipation can be read from the crowd’s faces, what with the constant glances trying to make out who had made their way backstage and who still hadn’t. The Ochungulo family, for the second turn up in a row, came guns (read mics) ablaze! Their relentless energy on stage is unparalleled. Willy Paul came in next and left the crowd yearning for more. Controversial as his latest jams may be,they sure are a crowd’s favorite but that will be a story for another day. MC Teargas,Mwalimu Rachel had the people all hype for hours on end. Oh,and the Captain Morgan and Coca Cola presence did not hurt either. Aren’t two complementary drinks a sign of a good time after all?

While our due date nears, should brace themselves for a night of their lives on April 30! Will we have popped these twins by then? Will we pop them there? Questions abound. Club Timber is where, and you will need to make your way there to steer clear of some of this mystery we’ve harboured for a while now!
