On Tuesday, Senator Samson Cherargei of Nandi County extended his condolences to the family of Brian Chira as they laid him to rest at his grandmother’s home in Githunguri, Kiambu County.

After the UDA Senator had supported a bill in the Senate, Senator Moses Kajwang’ of Homa Bay took the floor to mourn the death of the 23-year-old TikTok entertainer and offer comfort to his family.

“Mr. Speaker, amidst these many sentiments, I want to support this bill and also assure Kenyans that we will do everything necessary to allow this nation to progress. I also want to send my condolences, Mr. Speaker, to a famous TikToker who was being buried today in Kiambu, Brian Chira. We console the family and friends,” Senator Cherargei said in the Senate.

The politician advised young people to be cautious and avoid risky behaviour.

“I urge the youth to take responsibility in their lives and to be cautious. Especially when you go out to enjoy yourselves in the cities and towns,” he said.

The Senator made these remarks as the deceased content creator was buried in Githunguri, Kiambu County. The body of the deceased was taken to Kenyatta University Mortuary on Tuesday morning.

Fans, family, and friends gathered at the mortuary to pay their respects to the TikToker. The mourners then proceeded to Kiambu County for the funeral.

The burial was attended by fellow TikTokers, celebrities, and members of the press.

Notable figures present at the funeral included Otile Brown, who performed his popular song ‘One Call,’ and politician Peter Salasya.

Addressing the mourners, Otile said, “I just want to say thank you for allowing me to be with you here. I didn’t know Chira, but through my song ‘One Call,’ I’ve seen his love.”

Chira passed away on Saturday morning, March 16, 2024.
