YouTube Premium and YouTube music makes grand entrance in Kenya.

The festive season always has a blessing to it and Youtube decided to share the joy with its Kenyan followers.

Kenya is now among the few countries in Africa where YouTube Music and YouTube Premium are available.

The benefit that comes with paying for YouTube Music and YouTube Premium is that you’ll have an ad-free viewership which means more time to enjoy your favourite music and videos.

For Android users, the charges will be 419 shillings for Music, 669 shillings for Music Family, 499 shillings for the Premium bundle and 949 shillings for the Premium family.

For the IOS users, the charges will be 4.29 USD for Music, 6.59 USD for  Music Famil, 4.99 USD for Premium bundle and 9.49 USD for the Premium family.

Other than Kenya, YouTube Music and YouTube Premium were also launched in Ghana and Senegal.

The expansion is part of YouTube’s commitment to innovation and cultural exchange, providing a more engaging and personalized experience for music and video enthusiasts.

Since its creation, it has served more than 100 countries in the world and a total of 8 countries in Africa including; South Africa, Egypt, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Senegal, Tunisia and Algeria.

YouTube Premium (formerly Music Key and YouTube Red) is a subscription service that is offered by YouTube.

The service offers an ad-free experience while browsing content on the platform. It also provides access to premium YouTube Originals programming that is created in collaboration with the site’s creators. 

Additionally, users can download videos and play them in the background on their mobile devices. The service also includes access to YouTube Music, a music streaming platform.
